Origin: Dan Cong is the most famous style of black tea from the Wuyi mountain range of the Fujian province. Grown at an altitude of nearly 1000 meters, this tea is harvested from trees and bushes 20 - 80 years old.
Method: No pesticides or artificial fertilizers used. Multiple roast and rest periods of lightly rolled leaves and stems produce a medium level of roast.
Tasting/Fragrance Notes: Strong and enduring sweet potato aroma. Marshmallow. Natural long-lasting “sweetness”. Aging will further enhance and transform the flavors and aromas.
