About the event

The demonstration and explanation of flower arranging will be led by Sue Bagge, teacher of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. Sue has conducted workshops for the Minnesota arboretum and various garden clubs, and her arrangements have been featured in all Art in Bloom exhibitions. She grows many of the flowers she uses including lotus plants, dahlias, and herbs. She is a board member of Ikebana International Society #121 of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Note that the flower arranging demonstration will begin at 10:30.

Our very own Simon Parish, Northeast Tea House Founder and Head Tea Guy, will discuss the history, milling and traditional way of preparing and drinking matcha (though he will not be conducting a full traditional tea ceremony), and will demonstrate the Way of Fragrance using a variety of aromatics including aloeswood and sandalwood.
